Parish Pastoral Council

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING  meets regularly on Mondays  at  7:30pm in hall (regulations allowing), otherwise by zoom.

Each Ministry is encouraged to have at least one representative present. Please support this dialogue as we listen for the Spirit in the signs of our times. Contact: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

St Joseph’s is an English speaking Roman Catholic Parish with parishioners coming from over 40 different countries and every continent in the world. A Parish Pastoral Council was established to advise and support the parish priest. This consultative body which is rooted in Vatican II provides advice on pastoral, administrative and structural development matters regarding the parish community (Code of Canon Law 536).

The criteria for becoming a Council member include being an active Catholic, being registered in the Parish, and being invited to serve in this capacity. Currently representatives of each Ministry are serving alongside the Pastor(Fr Aidan Troy C.P.) on the Pastoral Council, which reflects our multicultural diversity in its composition and do not represent any particular national, ethnic or age group in the parish.

The Pastoral Council works to foster a sense of unity and belonging within the parish by supporting opportunities for parishioners to contribute to and participate in the spiritual growth of St. Joseph’s. Council Members are also available to the wider Parish community to respond to general questions and to receive suggestions and comments.  Contact information is available in the Parish Infosheet & Calendar leaflets provided in the reception

To ensure the continued success of Parish activities and our spiritual growth as a vibrant Catholic community we need your participation, support and prayers.

Facilities group & Stewardship group

Stewardship Group: every Sat at 11.30 a.m. preparing our Church and Hall for w/end. Come along to help any Sat . Contact:  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Facilities' manager and his team help and advise the Parish Priest on actions needed to maintain and improve the physical space requirements. Team members take on jobs according to their skills and dispositions: "handy man" tasks include periodic monitoring of the facilities, eg, safety checks or inventory of storage areas; coordinating volunteers for "work-days" or for youth service projects and dealing with outside contractors. Additional help is always needed.

HOLY ROSARY PRAYERS – SATs. 5.30pm @ St. Joseph’s considered perfect because within it lies the awesome story of
our salvation, the Holy Rosary is a simple & humble prayer. With the Hail Mary we invite her to pray for us. In every apparition,
the heavenly Mother has invited us to say the Rosary as a powerful weapon against evil and to bring us to true peace.
Promises of Our Lady - Blessings of the Rosary: Souls that thirst are refreshed, the fettered have their bonds broken, the
weeping find happiness, the tempted find peace, the ignorant are instructed, the living learn to overcome pride…
Benefits of the Rosary: gradually brings a perfect knowledge of Jesus Christ, makes the practice of virtue easy, enriches with
graces and merits, and sets us on fire with the love of our Lord...
For all our needs there is a Rosary prayer!

SPORTS MEET Basketball RDVs, Jogging, Ping pong, Zumba etc.

Chartres, World Youth Day, St. Joseph’s church pilgrimages,
OYS Lourdes pilgrimage to take care of the elderly & the sick.
