Reopening of Saint Joseph’s
The safety and health of all who come into God’s House that is St Joseph’s, is our No.1 concern. Some big churches can hold hundreds of worshippers and even more. St Joseph’s does not have a big building but is blessed with big numbers of people who have great love in their hearts. Putting anyone in danger by coming to St Joseph’s Church, would not give glory to God and would be contrary to the wishes of both Pastoral Council and Passionists. God wishes His people to worship in safe conditions for as long as this virulent pandemic is with us.
A phased reopening has been designed by a Pastoral Council group and the priests: From Tuesday, 2 June, 8.30 a.m. Mass resumed with a maximum of 40 people participating. on the second half of June, Sunday Mass at 10 a.m. and 12 noon for 40 people also resumed. All going well from Saturday 4th July, our 6:30pm Sat Vigil Mass will now resume, as well as Saturday confessions & Rosary . Participation is now going up to a maximum of 100. YouTube will continue to transmit Masses. St Joseph’s is committed to current sanitary regulations as a matter of conscience.
