During October the praying of the Rosary is encouraged as we honour Mary. Fatima Evening last Saturday was a time of prayer and of instruction about Fatima. A collection taken for YAM ‘Feed the Homeless’ raised € 321.82


Pastoral Council Meets Mon. 22 Oct at 7.30 pm. All Ministries having at least one person present on Monday night, will assist future planning. Passionist Community now reduced, opens new possibilities but also poses major challenges. The Passionist Provincial has asked us for “conversations” with parishioners on the present and future situation of St Joseph’s. Preparations for our 150th Anniversary in 2019 continue. Conversations between Parishioners and Passionists have been a feature of life at St Joseph’s over the years. A General Parish meeting will take place soon.

Marriage Preparation Course began last Tuesday 8 pm. It is a great blessing to have couples preparing for Matrimony with such a serious intent and interest. The course continues this Tuesday, 16th Oct at 8 p.m.

RCIA 2018 – 2019 on Thurs welcomed Adult Candidates for Sacraments at the Easter Vigil 2019. This too reveals the action of the Holy Spirit in our midst.

Next month I hope to begin “conversations” with parishioners on the present and the future of St Joseph’s, as we prepare for our 150 Anniversary in 2019.
