THEMES: Life at St Joseph's, Mission Anglophone, Gift of the Spirit
Other Matters – and suggestions for further conversations.
Pope Francis: “
I dream of a ‘missionary option’, that is, a missionary impulse capable of transforming everything, so that the Church’s customs, ways of doing things, times and schedules, language and structures can be suitably channelled for the evangelization of today’s world rather than for self-preservation.” [Evangelii Gaudium, 27]
“The Church is the People of God. This is sometimes forgotten by the clergy. The laity comprise 99.9% of Church members. When this is grasped all else changes.” [Bishop Dermot Farrell for the Conference with Laity and Priests in Diocese of Ossory, Ireland. 24th November 2018]
With thanks and praying we have an Advent richly blessed.
