Baptism

Baptism is God’s most beautiful and magnificent gift… The sacrament is called Baptism after the central rite by which it is carried out: to baptize means to “plunge”; the “plunge” into the water symbolizes the catechumen’s burial into Christ’s death, from which he rises up by resurrection with him, as “a new creature”.

INFANTS AND CHILDREN BAPTISM:  ordinarily take place the first & last Sundays of each month at 1:30pm, following the 12:30 p.m. Mass (NB 1:00pm in July & August &  No Baptism on Parish Info days, Parish General Council; Christmas, Pentecost, Summer Fair.

Once the parish receives your Application Form, parents will receive confirmation and will be scheduled (with Godparents if possible) for the Baptismal Preparatory Class presented once a month(see below). In summer, please contact one of the priests:

New Testament: Romans 6:3-5, Romans 8:18-32, 1Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28, Ephesians 4:1-6, 1Peter 2:4-5, 9-10, 

Responsorial Psalm:  Psalm 23:, Psalm 27, Psalm 34.
