Bulletin Notices 19 May 2019

Lenten Project 2019 raised a magnificent €23,232.80. Thanks to all for this. On Thurs a L’Oeuvre d’Orient (1856) representative came to St Joseph’s to be presented with a €20,000 cheque. Pictures and other publicity of what your donations means to people of Iraq will be displayed. Remaining €3,232.80 is being kept for new hand-driers to be installed in the church toilets.


Pastoral Council on Mon 24 June 7.30 pm – all Ministries asked to have a rep present.

Parish Meeting: Sun 6 Oct, 1.30 pm in Hall

Summer Fair 23rd June: tombola tickets on sale again this weekend. Prizes received are excellent. See posters for a list of prizes.  Tombola prizes are always welcome. This fundraising helps keep St Joseph’s going over the summer months. Ticket sellers deserved our thanks. Ticket Sales last week: €236.10


Notre Dame Cathedral:  A fund for the restoration of Notre Dame after the fire on Monday of Holy Week has been opened at St Joseph’s.
Donations can still be made, and they will be forwarded to the Notre Dame.
Total so far: €8,939.13

Fatima Home Statue: During May, WAF [World Apostolate of Fatima] group ask that parishioners pray the Rosary at home with family and friends.

Fatima Home Statue may be booked on Sunday for one week, go to Bookstall in Reception area for collection and return. As Statue goes from home to home Mary’s request, “to pray a Rosary daily, especially for peace, while meditating on the Mysteries”, is being fulfilled. 

Rosary is prayed each Saturday, 5.30 pm WAF meets on first Sat of each month.
