Bulletin Notices 21 April 2019

Notre Dame Cathedral: on Tuesday, St Joseph’s Mission Anglophone, opened a fund to collect for the restoration of Notre Dame following the deadly fire of Monday night. Already donations have been received from USA, Ireland and other countries. Next Sunday, Divine Mercy, a second collection will be taken after Holy Communion at all Masses at St Joseph’s. If you wish to avail of French tax relief, please mark your donation cheque ‘ADP’. During Lenten Project you have been outstanding by a generosity that is truly outstanding. So far, you have donated € 20,997.60; and the final collection for the Lenten Project will be at all the Easter Masses. Then the total will be sent to l’Oeuvre d’Orient.  This shows that our church community is not supporting either Notre Dame or people in need. The Gospel calls us not to an either/or but to both/and. Your great generosity is a powerful witness.

Update on St Joseph’s:

Apologies that last weekend toilets were not in use - caused by the amount of paper hand-towels flushed down toilet bowls. Toilets are again in use thanks to a parishioner offering his services. Two hand driers remain available in women’s and men’s toilets. Hand towels, to be disposed of in bins, remain in main area_

Five-yearly inspection by Prefecture de Police surfaced some issues needing attention. These are almost all now remedied. Another inspection within 3 months will be made. Storage space remains a great lack. Every effort will be made to use every available bit of space. Thanks to our volunteers for all you do.
